Albuquerque Picks Up Forward Mo Charlo

ALBUQUERQUE, Jan. 12, 2007 – The Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League have acquired rookie forward Mo Charlo and waived rookie guard Steven Barber due to injury.

Charlo, 6-7, 210, played collegiately at Nevada and was taken by Anaheim in the ninth round (97th overall) of the 2006 D-League Draft. The Arsenal waived him on Nov. 22, the final day of training camp.

As a senior at Nevada, Charlo averaged 10.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game. He also earned WAC All-Defensive Team honors.

Barber played in 15 games for the Thunderbirds, averaging 12.7 minutes, 5.7 points and 1.3 assists.

Charlo is expected to be in uniform when Albuquerque (7-9) plays host to Colorado (11-5) Friday at Tingley Coliseum.
