The Miami HEAT Bandwagon Bus Service Policies & Procedures
We are pleased to continue the Bandwagon Bus service again this season. If you have any questions regarding the Bandwagon, please call Kathy DeLorenzo at (786)-777-4234.

A worry free alternative driving to the games from Broward County!
Take the HEAT Bandwagon Bus, for $20.00 round trip. Save on parking and gas.

Departure for Outdoor World in Broward County (I- 95 between Griffin and Sheridan) departs 90 minutes before the published tip-off time for all HEAT home games. I

Departure from the AmericanAirlinesArena: At the conclusion of each game, the HEAT Bandwagon leaves the AmericanAirlinesArena within 15 minutes. We make every effort to account for all riders; however we are not responsible for riders who are not on board by the scheduled departure time.

Pass holders who do not arrive 10 minutes before departure will forfeit their seat and will not be refunded.

Directions to the AmericanAirlines Arena

The address of the Arena is:

From the North on I-95:

  1. Left on Exit 2D, toward Miami Beach via I-395 East
  2. Right on Exit 2B, toward US-1/Biscayne Blvd.
  3. Right onto Abel Holtz Blvd./NE 2nd Ave.
  4. Left onto NE 8th St.
  5. Straight across Biscayne Blvd.

From the South on I-95:

  1. North to Exit 2A, toward Biscayne Blvd./Downtown
  2. Slight left to SE 2nd Ave. ramp towards Biscayne Blvd.
  3. Straight onto SE 3rd St.
  4. Left onto Biscayne Blvd.

From the West on SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway):

  1. Merge onto I-395 East
  2. Right on Exit 2A, towards US-1/Biscayne Blvd.
  3. Right onto Abel Holtz Blvd./NE 2nd Ave.
  4. Left onto NE 8th St.
  5. Straight across Biscayne Blvd.

From the East on I-395 (MacArthur Causeway):

  1. Right on Exit 2, towards US-1
  2. Straight onto NE 13th St.
  3. Left onto Biscayne Blvd.
  4. Left onto NE 8th St.

Location of the different Gates at the AmericanAirlines Arena
Gate 1 is on the West side of the building, toward the South end. Access this gate by the ramp and stairs on the West side of the building. Escalators to seating on the 100-level are just inside the door. Gate 1 is closest to seating sections 119-124.

Gate 2 is also on the West side of the building, toward the North end. Access this gate by the ramp and stairs on the West side of the building, or the stairs on the Northwest corner of the building. Escalators to seating on the 100-level are just inside the door. Gate 2 is closest seating sections 101-106.

Gate 3 is on the North side of the building, toward the West end. Access this gate directly from NE 8th St., as this gate is on the ground level. Elevators 1 and 2 will get you to your seating level. Please note that this gate is for premium and disabled guests only.

Gate 4 is also on the North side of the building, toward the center of the building. Access this gate directly from NE 8th St., as this gate is also on the ground level. Elevators 3 and 4 will get you to your seating level. Please not that this gate is for VIP and disabled guests only.

Gate 5 is also on the North side of the building, right above Gate 4. Access this gate by the stairs on the North side of the building. An additional set of stairs to the 100-level is just inside the gate. Gate 5 is closest to seating sections 107-112.

Gate 6 is on the South side of the building, toward the East end. Access this gate by the stairs on the Southeast corner of the building. Upon entering the gate, you will be on the 100-level. Gate 6 is closest to seating sections 113-118.



AmericanAirlines Arena Parking

There are two entrances/exits to the parking lot at the AmericanAirlines Arena (P2 and P3). P2 is accessible from the South side of the building via NE 8th St., towards the center of the arena. Upon exit, traffic from P2 is directed Westbound on to Port Blvd.

P3 is also accessibly from the South side of the building, via Port Blvd. Upon exit, traffic from P3 is directed Westbound back on to Port Blvd.

AmericanAirlines Arena Valet parking Visitors wishing to valet their vehicle can drop it off in front of Gate 4 on the North side of the building. The drop-off area is on NE 8th St. and the cost is $50.00 per event.

AmericanAirlines Arena disabled parking Visitors with disabled parking permits can park in P2 for $40.00, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Display your disabled parking permit on your windshield and the parking attendants at P2 will direct you to any available disabled parking near one of our elevator landings.



Public Transportation

Using MetroRail/MetroMover to get to the American Airlines Arena:

  1. Take the MetroRail to Government Center station
  2. Transfer to MetroMover's Omni Loop
  3. Disembark at Park West station
  4. Walk East to Biscayne Blvd.
  5. Cross intersection of Biscayne Blvd. and Port Blvd.

MetroRail schedule
Trains run from 5:00 am to midnight seven days a week. On weekdays, trains arrive every 6 minutes during rush hours, every 8-10 minutes at mid-day, and every 15-30 minutes from 6:00 pm until midnight. On weekends, trains arrive every 15 minutes from 5:00 am until 8:00 pm, and every 30 minutes from 8:00 pm until midnight.

MetroMover schedule
Trains run from 5:00 am to midnight seven days a week. The Omni and Brickell loops operate as one large loop from 7:00 pm to midnight seven days a week. Trains arrive every 90 seconds during weekday rush hours, and every 3 minutes during off-peak hours.

  • Route 3: around the clock, seven days a week
  • Route 16: 5:12 am to 11:12 pm on weekdays, 5:18 am to 11:17 pm on Saturdays, 5:27 am to 8:08 pm on Sundays
  • Route 246 (Night Owl): 10:27 pm to 6:40 am, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only

    Pedestrians
    We encourage all AmericanAirlines Arena visitors to cross Biscayne Blvd. at NE 8th St., NE 6th St., or NE 5th St. where intersections are controlled by traffic signals and by police supervision*.

    *Please note that police supervision is for events only.

    Bus Drop-offs
    This area is located on Biscayne Blvd., between NE 8th St. and Port Blvd., on the West side of the Arena.

    Taxi/Limo Drop-offs
    We encourage visitors who are arriving by taxi or limo to be dropped-off on NE 7th St., between NE 1st Ave. and Biscayne Blvd.

    Disabled Drop-offs – Primary location
    This area is on NE 8th St., at Gate 3 on the North side of the Arena. For a visual reference, Gate 3 is right next to the Arena box office windows. Once inside, visitors will take elevator 1 or 2 to their seating level. Every entrance is accessible to disabled guests. .

    Disabled Drop-offs – Secondary location
    This area is also on NE 8th St., at Gate 4 on the North side of the Arena. For a visual reference, Gate 4 is right next to the Arena valet parking services. Once inside, visitors will take elevator 3 or 4 to their seating level.




    Miami HEAT 10-11 Season Parking

    The Miami Parking Authority is pleased to be the preferred parking provider for your Miami Heat. For convenient and affordable parking, you are invited to park with us this season. Avoid long lines of traffic and congestion before and after the game… park with the Miami Parking Authority!

    This year, we are pleased to once again offer Municipal Lot No. 19 and Municipal Garage No. 3 for Miami Heat fans. The location of Municipal Lot No. 19 is along Biscayne Boulevard between N.E. 5th Street and NE 1st Street directly adjacent and to the south of the American Airlines Arena. Municipal Garage No. 3 is located at 190 N.E. 3rd Street.

    Miami Parking Authority

    The season parking pass for the Miami HEAT 2008-2009 season is available as follows:

  • Municipal Garage No. 3: $600.00 (surcharge & tax included + $10.00 Shipping & Handling), only $10.00 per game (compared to $12 per game on site)
  • Municipal Garage No. 3: $600.00 (surcharge & tax included + $10.00 Shipping & Handling), only $10.00 per game (compared to $12 per game on site)

    Prices include 41 regular season games, 2 preseason game and 16 playoff games. Remember, as one of our premium customers, you are guaranteed to have a space in the parking lot no matter what time you arrive. In the event the Miami Heat does not host all of the 16 play-off games that you paid for, a refund for the unplayed games will be mailed to you within 60 days of the last game of the season. Unused passes are not redeemable for refund or credit.
