Welcome to the new OrlandoMagic.com....
"The Time is Now. Be Bold. Be Blue". That's the Magic's theme for the 2007-08 season and we've taken the new campaign to heart with our newly revamped Web site.
The end result, we hope, is a Web site that will bring you closer to your favorite NBA team and highten your passion for Magic basketball.
The Time is Now...to deliver a high quality Internet experience, while also improving navigation and search functionalites, adding more ticket and retail options and dedicating more space and time to coverage of Orlando's team.
The Magic worked with Orlando-based and award-winning design firm Lightmaker (www.lightmaker.com) to develop the look and functionality of the new site. Built on a "glass" template, the site is designed using transparent graphics in order to continually change the look and feel of the site by incorporating different themes, holidays, events and milestones into the overall design.
Be Bold. Be Blue...by implementing new and exciting features to enhance the experience of visiting the official online home of the Magic.
Among the exciting new features is the permanent placement of the Magic Media Player. First introduced on the special OrlandoMagic.com pages created for the playoffs, 2007 NBA Draft and Pepsi Pro Summer League, this fan favorite feature is back for good.
The Magic Media Player not only includes a rotating story element to keep you in the loop on the latest news and information on the team, but also includes a photo gallery and streaming videos.
A new Calendar & Ticket Center has also been added to the homepage. The Calendar functionality enables the user to search for specific dates or opponents they’d like to see play the Magic, while the Ticket Center will give Magic fans to best options on how to purchase Season Tickets, Partial Plans and last-minute ticket deals.
Once inside the Web site, your experience continues when you visit our new Player and Dancer profiles. Visit the profile of your favorite Magic player to see how they rose to stardom. Or, check out the Magic Dancers to find out what these lovely ladies do when they're not performing.
Also this season on OrlandoMagic.com, look for more reports from Magic practices, games and shootarounds, in addition to more multimedia such as videos, podcasts, Mobile Magic and interaction with the very popular Magic Message Boards.
On October 4th, the Magic will also introduce "The Dante and Galante Show", the first weekly Internet radio show on OrlandoMagic.com. The show, hosted by Dante Marchitelli and George Galante, will debut each Thursday at 3:00PM.
This is the first site redesign for OrlandoMagic.com since a complete overhaul took place in December 2004. OrlandoMagic.com serves as the official source for original content and coverage of the Magic, including in-depth game coverage, breaking news, features, video clips, photo galleries, podcasts and more. Users can also sign up for INSIDER, the official e-news letter of the Magic, which delivers breaking news, special offers and more.
